MY MUM'S TRIP TO CHINA!

Felipe Rueda's (2C) mum, sister and father took a trip to China earlier this month and his mum decided to share their experience with the 2nd Grade students who are also learning about this country. She talked about how different the Chinese are in terms of physical characteristics (shorter than Colombian, almond shaped eyes, thick dark hair etc). She also mentioned the types of food which they eat on a daily basis including the duck and all sorts of sea food with vegetables. The architecture, as shown in her photos, spoke of the advancement in technology and designing. A recommendation was also made to visit the world's fastest malgev train in Shanghai which moves at a speed of 431km/h (268 mph). She also spoke of immense biodiversity as well as respectful culture of the people and the care they give to their elderly, something, that is not commonly found elsewhere. Traffic was as intense as in Bogota and so here, planning ahead and time-consciousness is needed. The importance of being capable of communicating in English and Madarine was emphasized as she explained her ordeal in trying conduct a business transaction for which she needed a translator.

Thanks MUM for sharing your experience with us!

  1. Wow! It sounds like Felipe Reuda's family had a great firsthand experience with the Chinese culture. Felipe, what made your family want to go to China? It must have been a really long plane ride!

  2. Wow! that was good for you and your family that you all could visit China. May be you should come to Taiwan too. Taiwan is close to China. May be you can learn about Chinese culture some more from Taiwan. I would also like to go to China. Thank you for sharing those nice pictures.
