POSTCARDS FROM I.B.S.H., TAIPEI ARE FINALLY HERE!!!!
The cold, gloomy morning of Tuesday 15th May 2012, turned into a warm, exciting one, as Maria C., our Elemntary Principal shared the long awaited news of a mysterious package received all the way from Asia with the 78 expectant students and teachers of 2nd Grade. As some students gave clues as to how the mail was sent from one continent to another, another group rapidly tore-up the package to reveal postcards from friends in I.B.S.H which marked a historic beginning of an international exchange for both schools. Each students' face light-up as they read and admired pictures of peers from Taiwan. As can be imagined, the postcards became the topic of the day as students proudly boasted of friends, an action that was extended to their homes where families also shared in their joy! Several questions including the possibilities of meeting their new friends in person, time difference, differences in naming systems and facial characteristics came up which they hoped students from IBSH will be able to respond over this blog.
